Use case

WooCommerce shipping email with tracking link

The shipping email is the second mail a customer opens after a purchase — often the most important one. FreddyMail ships a ready-made shipping template that embeds tracking number and link cleanly.

Before vs. after

Before

  • Default email with no branded header.
  • Tracking number as plain text, often hard to find.
  • No clear "Track shipment" button.

After

  • Branded header with logo and brand color.
  • Tracking block with carrier, tracking number and a prominent tracking button.
  • Optional notice block ("Reply to this email if you have questions").

Click path

  1. Open FreddyMail > Designer.
  2. Pick the "Shipping completed" email type or the equivalent WooCommerce shipping type in your setup.
  3. Enable the tracking block and map fields to the WooCommerce shipping metadata.
  4. Place the tracking link button and adjust label and color.
  5. Save the template and trigger a shipment in staging (set order status to "Completed shipping").
  6. Check the result in FreddyMail > Logs and in a real inbox.

Why it matters

  • Fewer "where is my package?" tickets because the tracking number is front and center.
  • Brand consistency after the purchase — the moment that decides repeat orders.
  • Easy to add notes about lead times, holidays or carrier issues.

Common questions

Does this work with shipping plugins like Advanced Shipment Tracking?
Yes, as long as the plugin writes tracking data into the WooCommerce order record, FreddyMail can render it in the template.
What happens with multiple shipments per order?
Multiple shipments render as a list in the tracking block, provided WooCommerce lists the individual shipments.
Can I send the shipping email in English and German?
Multilingual templates are next on the roadmap. Today you maintain one template per language at the shipping type level.
